GB/T 14468本部分规定了板类机械接口的主要尺寸、标识代码和标志。目的是为了保证末端执行器的互换性以及手工安装时保持原有的姿态。
本部分未规定在确定末端执行器联结装置的其他要求。
本部分不包含与负载范围有关的内容。因为负载是要根据机器人的用途及其负载能力来选择相应的机械接口的。
本部分规定了机械接口亦可适用于简单的搬运系统，这种搬运系统并不包含在操作型工业机器人的定义范围内，例如取放式或主从式单。
