【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesastandardlaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingtheairleakageratesofexteriorwindows,curtainwalls,anddoorsunderspecifieddifferentialairtemperatureandpressureconditionsacrossthespecimen.Specifiedtemperatureandpressureconditionsarerepresentativeofthosethatmaybeencounteredattheexteriorthermalenvelopeofbuildings,excludingtheeffectsofheatbuildupduetosolarradiation.Thislaboratoryprocedureisapplicabletoexteriorwindows,curtainwalls,anddoorsandisintendedtomeasureonlysuchleakageassociatedwiththeassemblyandnottheinstallation;however,thetestmethodcanbeadaptedforthelatterpurpose.Thisisalaboratoryprocedurefortestingatdifferentialtemperatureconditions.PersonsinterestedinalaboratorytestatambientconditionsshouldreferenceTestMethodE283.PersonsinterestedinafieldtestoninstalledwindowsanddoorsshouldreferenceMethodE783.Personsusingthisprocedureshouldbeknowledgeableintheareasofheattransfer,fluidmechanics,andinstrumentationpractices,andshallhaveageneralunderstandingoffenestrationproductsandcomponents.Throughoutthistestmethod,SIunitsarelistedfirstinaccordancewithASTMCommitteeE-6metricpolicyandshallbeconsideredtheprimaryunits.Inch-poundunitsareprovidedinparenthesis.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
